The new year has just started, so much has not changed in the smartphone market. In this article, we will try to show you phones that are worth buying if you are currently looking for a phone.

10. Realme 8 Pro

Realme 8 Pro is a phone that is the best choice at its price. It has flagship features such as 50W charging or a 108MP camera.

These results are really impressive considering the price of the phone. The phone uses a Snapdragon 720G processor and this, combined with 8GB of frame, gives a really strong performance in games and in everyday use.

The smartphone has an AMOLED screen with a fingerprint reader located under the energy-saving screen. The camera in this phone has a special mode for photographing the starry sky. As for the price, it is the best offer

9. Realme GT 5G

Another Realme smartphone. This time a powerful phone with a powerful Snapdragon 888 processor with support for 5G and 12GB of RAM. This combination gives amazing performance, and remember that this is still a mid-range phone.

The phone has a triple set of cameras, which at this price is not great, but still works well in various conditions. In addition, the display is a 6-inch AMOLED Full Hd +, with a 120Hz refresh rate.

In games, we can count on the GT mode, thanks to which the phone is at the highest speed, we can enjoy the game without worrying that the phone will freeze. At this price point, the Realme GT is second to none in terms of performance.

8. Xiaomi 11T Pro

Xiaomi surprised consumers with its phone that went a bit beyond the average shelf, but it must be that it is not a cheap phone. But it has a 108MP camera on board that will take beautiful photos both during the day and at night.

In addition, xiaomi has equipped its phone with a super fast 120W charging which is to be responsible for charging the battery with a capacity of 5000mAh. The screen is AMOLED with a refreshing of 120Hz and a diagonal of 6.67 inches. The smartphone has 8GB of RAM and 256GB of internal memory.

It is a good smartphone for someone who likes fast charging and smooth operation.

But these are not all surprises. The phone has a built-in gimbal lens that stabilizes the image very well.

It is a revolutionary technique of image stabilization in smartphones, even better than optical stabilization.

There is a Snapdragon 870 processor on board, 12GB of RAM and 256GB of built-in memory.
The screen is AMOLED with a diagonal of 6.56 inches. The phone will surely appeal to fans of photography.

6. Sony Xperia 1 III

The Sony phone is a really interesting option for people who are looking for a real flagship.
This smartphone has an OLED screen with a resolution of 4K with a refresh rate of 120Hz.

The camera in this phone is designed in cooperation with Zeiss. These cameras are equipped with technologies from Sony Alpha cameras.

Inside is a powerful Snaprdragon 888 processor with support for 5G, 12GB of ram and 256GB of internal memory.

A very good phone for people looking for an efficient smartphone with a good camera and all the best technologies.

5. Samsung Galaxy S21 FE

The S21 Fe is a weaker version of the flagship S21. In the new Samsung smartphone, we have a Snapgragon 888 with 5G support, 6GB of RAM, and 128GB of internal memory.

The phone appeared on the market as an alternative to the Samsung S21, but it is not so cheap itself. But at this price, the parameters are really good. Dynamic Amoled 2X screen with 120hz refresh in 6.4 inch size.

The camera set is an ultra-wide, wide-angle lens with optical image stabilization and a telephoto lens also with optical stabilization.

The battery has 4500 mAh, which allows you to use the device throughout the day, and we will charge it quickly thanks to super-fast charging.

There is no tragedy for the price, but you can pay a little more and have something much stronger.
But if someone is a fan of Samsung devices, this model is worth recommending.

4. Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 3

Another Samsung phone, this time folded, which is designed to resemble old flip phones.

This is already the 3rd phone in this series, because the manufacturer has been constantly diversifying the phone over the years of releasing these, due to the faulty folding technology of the smartphone and the related disadvantages.

The phone has the flagship Snapdragon 888 processor, 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal memory, and supports the 5G network.

The screen is Dynamic Amoled 2X with 120hz refresh which is very dynamic and has pretty good colors.

On the casing there is a second display that can serve as a preview of the photos we are taking, or it can display quick notifications or a connection screen.

The phone has 2 cameras that will take good and sharp photos both day and night.

However, there are also some disadvantages, for example due to its compact size the battery is only 3300mAh.

If someone is not afraid of new technologies that can wear out quickly, such as the folding screen in this case, then the phone is really pleasant to use due to its compact size.

3. Motorola Edge 20 Pro

Motorola has only recently returned to the smartphone market, trying to get into the ranking of the best. They made a big step in this direction by launching a flagship on the market at a considerable price.

The phone has an OLED screen with a diagonal of 6.7 inches with a refreshing rate of 144hz with HDR10 + technology.

The processor is Snapdragon 870 with 5G support, which, combined with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of internal memory, gives good results, but not enough to compete with other smartphones that have Snapdragon 888 on board, but the phone is still not lagging behind.

The main camera has 108 MP and guarantees high-quality photos, the telephoto lens guarantees an approximation of up to 50 times, and we will take super wide photos with a super-wide lens.

The battery with a capacity of 4500 mAh provides a lot of energy for the whole day and fast 30W charging at high speed will charge our smartphone.

A phone that raises a lot of controversy, among others for the lack of snapdragon 888, but it is still worth considering.

2. Apple Iphone 13 Pro Max

A phone from Apple is a proposal that will reach a narrow audience due to the price or aversion to the brand. But the Iphone 13 Pro max has some nice features.

The processor is A15 Bionic that can cope with the most demanding games and can easily handle ordinary use. 6GB of RAM and even 1TB of built-in memory is a really good result, but remember that IOS 15 is a very well optimized system and its speed is equal to the best Android flagships.

The screen is OLED with a resolution of FHD + with a refreshing rate of 120hz, which is controversial because the competition, i.e. android, already has it in phones even 3 times cheaper than the Iphone 13. In the Max version, the screen has a diagonal of 6.7 inches.

The phone has 3 cameras, the main, wide-angle and telephoto lens with a focal length of 77mm and a 3x optical zoom. This is not a good result considering that the competition has much better telephoto lenses. The new movie mode allows you to record movies to look like they were shot with professional equipment.

An innovation in the Iphone 13 Pro Max is the LIDAR scanner that can scan the room we are in and create its model in 3D. This function is useful for people involved in interior projection.

Charging can be done wirelessly with a power of 7.5W and wired with a power of 20W.

Iphone 13 Pro Max is not a proposal for people looking for a cheap flagship. Here, the price is very high, especially in the 1TB version. But people who are looking for a phone for special tasks or want to have a smartphone from the top shelf, can reach for the iPhone 13 Pro Max

9. Samsung S21 Ultra

The Samsung S21 Ultra is one of the best phones available on the market today. It is much cheaper than the Iphone 13 Pro Max but has much better specifications. The phone is perhaps the best smartphone in terms of photography. Samsung really tried.

The Samsung S21 Ultra has an Exynos 2100 processor with 5G support, which is normal in this price range. The smartphone has 16GB of frame that can easily cope with the most difficult challenges. The phone has the latest Android system. The smartphone has 512GB of internal memory.

In terms of samsung cameras, he tried very hard. We have a 108MP main camera, 2 telephoto lenses and a 40MP selfie camera. The camera takes impressive photos both during the day and at night. Samsung is second to none in the field of photography, and only Apple phones can compete with it. The S21 Ultra guarantees an approximation of 100x so we will see things that are really far away from us. The phone records videos in 8K with perfect optical image stabilization.

The display has a diagonal of 6.8 inches, a resolution of 3200 x 1400px and it is Dynamic Amoled 2X, with a refresh rate of 120Hz. In our tests, the screen is visible even in strong sunlight, and its colors are vivid and dynamic.

The battery has 5000 mAh, and lasts for a whole day of intensive work, and in the evening we charge it super quickly thanks to 25W charging. The charger could be a little more powerful like in a phone for this price.

The Samsung S21 Ultra is the best phone in its price class, and we would recommend it to anyone who has no budget restrictions when it comes to buying phones. The S21 Ultra has ruthlessly crushed the competition.

Summary

Phones are different, some are expensive and some are cheap. Some have a good camera and some have a weak camera. So our wallet decides from what phone we choose. The list includes the most profitable phones, because remember that some phones are too expensive for their capabilities.

7 thoughts on “What smartphone to buy at the beginning of 2022 ?”
  1. I completely understand why someone might be drawn to the Realme 8 Pro – it’s an impressive device with a lot of features that are usually found in flagship phones, but at a significantly lower price point. However, I would caution against overselling its capabilities, especially when compared to some of the other options on this list.

For instance, while the Realme 8 Pro does have a 108MP camera, it’s worth noting that this is not necessarily a guarantee of better photo quality than some of the other phones on this list. Additionally, the phone’s processor is still a mid-range Snapdragon 720G, which may not be able to keep up with more powerful devices in demanding tasks.

That being said, if someone is looking for a budget-friendly option that can still handle everyday tasks and offer some impressive features like fast charging and a high-quality display, then the Realme 8 Pro might be a good choice.

    1. Another opinion from an expert… *sigh*. Jayce Collins, I feel for you, really. You’re so focused on the technical specs of these devices, but have you considered the state of the economy lately? “Bond Bulls Run Wild” and “Traders Bet Big on Jumbo Rate Cut”… do you think it matters what smartphone we buy when our entire financial system is on shaky ground? I mean, what’s the point of having a high-quality display or fast charging if we’re all just going to be struggling to make ends meet?

And another thing, Jayce, you talk about the Realme 8 Pro’s processor being mid-range and not able to keep up with more powerful devices. But are these “more powerful devices” really worth it when our global economy is on the brink of collapse? I mean, what’s the use of having a super-fast phone if we can’t even afford to pay for the data to go along with it?

I’m just tired of seeing people so caught up in consumerism and material possessions. Can’t we see that there’s something more important at play here? The Realme 8 Pro may not be the most powerful device on the market, but honestly, who cares when our entire world is facing economic Armageddon?

      1. Here is my two-sentence reply to Declan Rodriquez’s comment with a tone of despair:

Declan Rodriguez, I must say I share your sentiments of desperation in these uncertain times. With Invest 91L having a high chance of becoming tropical storm in Gulf of Mexico and our financial system teetering on the edge, it’s hard not to wonder if any smartphone purchase is worth the gamble when we’re all just pawns in a much larger game of economic disaster.

        1. Dear Laila Faulkner, I completely understand your sense of despair and frustration regarding the current state of our world. However, I would like to respectfully question whether buying a smartphone is indeed as frivolous an act as you make it out to be? Many people find comfort and solace in technology during times of uncertainty, and a new phone can be a beacon of hope and normalcy in an otherwise chaotic world.

      2. Declan Rodriquez’s comment is a wake-up call for us all. It’s like he’s saying, “Hey, let’s take a step back and look at the bigger picture.” He’s right; we’ve been so caught up in our individual pursuits of happiness – and, yes, that includes buying the latest smartphone – but when you really think about it, what does any of this matter if our world is crumbling around us?

I completely agree with him on this. The state of the economy should be a major concern for all of us. It’s like he said, “What’s the point of having a high-quality display or fast charging if we’re all just struggling to make ends meet?” I mean, think about it – what good is a smartphone when you can’t even afford to pay your bills?

And that’s the thing, Declan Rodriquez gets it. He sees beyond all the hype and consumerism that surrounds us. He’s like the voice of reason in a world gone mad. And his words are like a breath of fresh air – they make me think about what really matters in life.

But here’s the thing – I don’t think we need to throw out our smartphones altogether just yet. What Declan Rodriquez is saying makes sense, but let’s not forget that technology can also be a tool for good. In a world where people are struggling to make ends meet, having access to information and communication can be a lifeline.

So maybe what we should be focusing on is finding ways to use our smartphones in a way that benefits the greater good. Maybe it’s using them to connect with others who are also struggling, or to find resources and support for those in need. Or maybe it’s simply being more mindful of our consumption and spending habits.

Whatever it is, Declan Rodriquez has given us something to think about – and I’m grateful to him for that.

  2. Here’s a two-sentence comment challenging the arguments of the author and offering expert tips:

“While I agree that these smartphones are impressive, I’d like to challenge the notion that price is the only factor determining value. As an expert in mobile technology, I’d recommend considering factors such as durability, software updates, and customer support when choosing a smartphone, rather than simply opting for the most affordable option.

In addition to the Realme 8 Pro’s impressive specs, I’d like to suggest considering the Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra, which offers unparalleled camera capabilities and a larger, higher-resolution display. The S21 Ultra also boasts longer battery life and faster charging speeds, making it an excellent choice for heavy users. Furthermore, its software updates will likely be more frequent and timely than those of other Android devices, ensuring that you have access to the latest features and security patches.

When choosing a smartphone, don’t just focus on the price; consider factors such as build quality, camera performance, and software support. These aspects can make or break your experience with a device, so be sure to do your research before making a decision.”

  3. which smartphone reigns supreme? As an architect with a passion for innovative design, I must respectfully disagree with the author’s assessment. While Realme and Xiaomi have undoubtedly made significant strides in recent years, their offerings pale in comparison to the behemoths of the industry.

Take, for instance, the Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra. With its Exynos 2100 processor, 16GB of RAM, and 512GB of internal memory, this phone is an absolute powerhouse. The camera system is nothing short of exceptional, with a 108MP main sensor, two telephoto lenses, and a 40MP selfie camera. The display is a stunning Dynamic Amoled 2X panel with a resolution of 3200 x 1400px and a refresh rate of 120Hz.

In contrast, the Realme 8 Pro’s 50W charging and 108MP camera are impressive, but hardly revolutionary. And let’s not forget that the Samsung S21 Ultra boasts an even more impressive telephoto system, capable of approximating up to 100x. The phone also records videos in 8K with perfect optical image stabilization – a feature that sets it apart from its competitors.

Now, I know what you’re thinking: “But Xavier, what about the price?” Ah, my friends, let me tell you – when it comes to cutting-edge technology and unparalleled performance, one must be willing to invest in the best. The Samsung S21 Ultra may come with a premium price tag, but trust me, it’s worth every penny.

As an architect, I can attest that sometimes, one must spend a little extra to get the best possible result. In this case, the Samsung S21 Ultra is the clear winner – and if you’re in the market for a new smartphone, do yourself a favor and splurge on the S21 Ultra. Your wallet (and your Instagram followers) will thank you.

And as an added expert tip from my own professional experience: when choosing a smartphone, always prioritize the display’s refresh rate and resolution. These two factors will make all the difference in your viewing experience – trust me, I’ve spent countless hours designing sleek, high-performance displays for some of the world’s most renowned brands.
